About the role
North Middlesex University Hospital is one of London's busiest acute hospitals, serving more than 350,000 people living in Enfield and Haringey and the surrounding areas, including Barnet and Waltham Forest.
Every day, on average, we see 500 patients in A&E; 15 babies are born in our maternity unit; about 450 inpatients are cared for on our wards; about 50 patients have major or minor surgery in one of our 10 operating theatres; and about 800 people attend our outpatients clinics.
We provide a full range of adult, elderly and children's services across medical and surgical disciplines. Our specialist services include stroke, HIV/AIDS, cardiology (including heart failure care), haematology, diabetes, sleep studies, fertility and orthopaedics. Our sickle cell and thalassaemia department is nationally recognised as a leading centre for these diseases.
At North Middlesex University Hospital, you'll find a team that truly believes in living our values in everything we do. We are caring, we are fair and we are open.
We are looking to appoint a Junior Clinical Fellow (FY2, IMT/ST1-2 equivalent) to join our Oncology team.
This is an exciting post for clinicians interested in a career in medicine or oncology. The department has an excellent track record for core trainees successfully applying to oncology specialty training.
