Locum Consultant Urological Surgeon

A new and exciting opportunity is advertised for a Urology Consultant to join our Urology team. This is a fixed term post for a 8th urology consultant. This is a new post and applicants with skills that complement the department would be welcome. The department is open to candidates developing their own subspecialty interests. An interest in core urology and competence in bladder outflow surgery/functional urology would be desirable. The successful applicant will be a 8th new consultant post, joining 7 substantive consultants, based at Northampton General Hospital delivering high quality elective and emergency urological services to the catchment area.

To fully participate of elective and emergency urological service (this includes management of common paediatric inguino-scrotal conditions) To provide highest possible levels of patient care To work as an active member of the Urology team To actively remain clinically competent To work closely with Multidisciplinary teams To activate particulate and undertake audit To teach staff/Medical Students To work to all Trust Policies and procedures To work flexibly
