Consultant Breast Radiologist

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Consultant Breast Radiologist to join our well-established Breast Imaging Service, supporting both symptomatic and NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) activity across North Lancashire and South Cumbria. The successful candidate will contribute to both symptomatic and screening breast imaging services, including mammography, ultrasound, MRI and image-guided procedures. The post offers the opportunity to work within an experienced multidisciplinary team of breast clinicians, radiographers, advanced practitioners, nursing staff and administrative colleagues. We welcome candidates with a range of interests and can offer flexible job planning. The post may be configured as a dedicated Breast Radiology role with no requirement to participate in the general Radiology on-call rota. Alternatively, candidates wishing to maintain a broader practice may include general radiology sessions and on-call participation within their job plan. Service Overview The Breast Imaging Service operates across Furness General Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Westmorland General Hospital and mobile screening units. Recent investment has enhanced our digital mammography, ultrasound and SECTRA PACS infrastructure. Why Join Us?
