As a Salaried GP, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care through a mix of face-to-face, telephone and online consultations. Your role will include diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic conditions, prescribing safely, and supporting patients with preventative care and health education.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical meetings, care planning, and the ongoing development of practice services. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, adhering to NHS and practice guidelines, and supporting the practice in delivering safe, effective, and responsive primary care services.

Person specification

Essential

Experience of working in UK general practice (including GP training)
Ability to manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
Understanding of clinical governance, QOF, and NHS primary care systems
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
Inclusion on the NHS England GP Performers List
Licence to practise in the UK
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Good organisational and time management skills
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards
Understanding of safeguarding and equality/diversity principles

Desirable

Experience as a qualified GP in a primary care setting
Experience using EMIS Web (or similar clinical systems)
Involvement in quality improvement, audit, or service development
Experience in teaching or mentoring
MRCGP
Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
Additional relevant qualifications or diplomas (e.g. womens health, minor surgery, etc.)
Interest in developing a clinical lead area or specialist interest
