About the role
Due to an expanding service, applications are invited for two 12 month fixed term posts for Trust Speciality Doctors in Anaesthesia at Warwick Hospital. Applicants should have suitable anaesthetic experience for this grade, and should possess full registration with the GMC at the time of interview. You will be expected to contribute to elective and emergency work, and providea high degree of input into our intensive care and obstetric services. The post includes participation in a full shift system to provide 24 hour onsite Anaesthetic cover. The Anaesthetic Department consists of 28 Consultants, 6 Associate Specialists and 8 Specialty Doctors. All major surgical specialities (with the exception of Plastic, Neuro and Cardiothoracic surgery) are represented. The department has a regular commitment to audit and opportunities for training and development will be made available.
The appointee will be responsible in immediate clinical matters to the nominated duty consultant. Professional accountability is via the Clinical Director of the Anaesthetic Department to the Associate Chief Medical Officer (Elective) and ultimately to the Medical Director.
