About the role
Alrewas Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for a salaried GP 6x sessions per week. A long-standing, well respected GP practice covering a semi-rural area between Lichfield and Burton on Trent, with easy vehicle access as we are situated just off the A38 close to the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas Surgery aims to offer a welcoming, high quality GP service to all its patients.
Working 6x sessions per week, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients and undertaking all clinical duties associated with GP work in line with GMC and RCGP standards and working with our multi-disciplinary team. As a Salaried GP, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload, dealing with a wide variety of health needs in a primary care setting. They will work both independently and collaboratively as part of our team to deliver a high standard of care for all registered patients, while carrying out the associated clinical and administrative duties. Patient care will be delivered face-to-face, over the telephone, and through our online dashboard system. The core surgery hours are 8:00am to 6:30pm. You will also hold Duty Dr on-call responsibilities once per week, undertaking triage and same day needs assessment and response. You will receive a competitive salary dependent on experience, 30 days annual leave pro rata and an NHS pension.
Located in the village of Alrewas, near the National Memorial Arboretum and close to the eastern Staffordshire/Derbyshire border. Just off A38, easily commutable from Derby/Birmingham. We have 8000 registered patients and are growing rapidly. There is one dementia specialist care home within our catchment area.
