The role Build effective partnerships with Devon communities and stakeholders to support improved health and wellbeing outcomes. Lead strategic public health programmes with a particular focus on health improvement, public mental health and embedding prevention into neighbourhood health Provide leadership across the Council and wider system to improve population health and reduce health inequalities. Work collaboratively with Devon's Integrated Care System, UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), community, voluntary and private sector partners. Provide expert public health leadership across the full spectrum of public health practice, including health protection. Contribute to the training and development of Public Health Registrars and other health professionals, including acting as an Educational Supervisor. About you Inclusion on, or within six months of eligibility for admission to, the GMC/GDC Specialist Register or the UK Public Health Register for Public Health Specialists. Significant experience in senior public health leadership and delivery across a broad public health portfolio. Proven ability to influence, collaborate and deliver outcomes across organisational boundaries. Strong commitment to reducing health inequalities and improving population health. Ability to demonstrate Devon County Council's leadership behaviours and values. Fluent spoken English and the ability to fulfil all communication requirements of the role.
