Consultant Psychiatrist Poole North OPMH CMHT

We are looking to recruit a full-time consultant psychiatrist in older adult mental health. The post has become available due to the relocation of the existing full-time consultant. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Older Adult CMHT. The successful candidate will take part in the multi- disciplinary management of community referrals for those with both functional and organic illness. The successful candidate would also have dedicated time to help shape the strategic developments within the care group across Dorset. There is a strong leadership structure across the organisation with the opportunity for regular input into leadership meetings and developments. The catchment area is primarily urban North Poole. There is good opportunity for peer support and robust cross cover arrangements. We are in the process of rolling out and embedding the exciting new mental health offer in Dorset as part of the large-scale transformation work and are in the process of building and developing successful relationships with Primary care and the Community. We are developing our Access Wellbeing Universal offer within East Dorset and are in the process of setting up single point of access (SPOA) to deliver a professional referral process.
