Essential

MBBS or equivalent MRCPCH/FRCA/FICM or equivalent qualifications
Full GMC Registration On the GMC Specialist Register in a base speciality (General paediatrics, Anaesthetic or Intensive care medicine) with sub speciality in paediatric intensive care medicine or within 6 months of obtaining CCT by date of interview
Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR) applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register in paediatric intensive care medicine at the point of application.
Completion of all capabilities in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine (minimum of two and a half years WTE including 6 months WTE stand alone anaesthesia training) in a unit approved for training by the RCPCH National PICM Training sub speciality programme with evidence that this training has been signed off OR an existing Practising Substantive Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine within the NHS.
Valid APLS and NLS Valid level 3 training in child safe-guarding
Paediatric ECMO experience
Paediatric retrieval experience
Valid APLS
Valid level 3 training in child safeguarding
Current expertise in managing pre and post-operative neonatal and paediatric cardiac surgery patients
PICM sub-specialty training capabilities achieved including paediatric retrieval capabilities
Commitment and evidence of interest in the speciality
Commitment to learning & Teaching
Detailed knowledge and ability in clinical IT systems, management, report making and coding
