We have an exciting opportunity to join Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre Gillingham on a permanent employed contract, working 1 day per week. Working within a modern elective surgical environment, you'll deliver outstanding patient care across a wide range of general surgical procedures, whilst being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence and exceptional patient outcomes. As our Consultant General Surgeon, you'll provide a comprehensive surgical service to patients attending Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre Gillingham. You'll undertake outpatient consultations, pre and post-operative assessments and elective surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care throughout the patient journey. The role offers the opportunity to focus on planned surgical care within a well-established elective service, with no on-call commitment, whilst contributing to service development, clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.

As our Consultant General Surgeon, you will be: Delivering high-quality elective general surgical services. Undertaking day-case and outpatient procedures. Managing patients requiring hernia repairs, haemorrhoid treatments and minor surgical procedures. Performing endoscopy procedures where appropriate. Conducting pre and post-operative patient assessments. Maintaining accurate clinical records, discharge summaries and reports. Participating in audit, governance and quality improvement activities. Supporting clinical quality standards and service development. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver excellent patient care. Contributing to the education and development of staff across the centre.
