Full-time or Part-time Salaried GP

Situated in the popular seaside town of Southport and within easy travel distance of Liverpool, Manchester and stunning rural areas such as the Lake District and Pennines, Norwood Surgery is a forward thinking, progressive and award winning GP Practice. The Practice currently consists of 3 partners, 4 salaried GPs, 3 nurses and a supportive admin and reception team who care for a list size of 10,000 patients. This job would be perfect for GPs who enjoy social prescribing and lifestyle medicine as we are currently one of the leading practices within our region and promote a holistic wellbeing for our patients. We are a training practice and offer high levels of support and training in any areas of development for GP registrars and indeed all staff.

The post-holder will manage a caseload that includes a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation. This role is for 6-8 sessions per week
