Job Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen, for a Salaried GP, to work within Haslington Surgery, working alongside experienced Gp Partners and Salaried Gps. The Practice has a commitment to excellent patient care, quality improvement and learning. It is expected that all members of our clinical team, including the new Salaried Gp, are actively committed to supporting these aims and participate in relevant activities when appropriate. Working pattern: The role is for a maximum of six sessions Salaried GP, working Monday, Weds and Friday am and pm, with an opportunity to increase to eight sessions, in the next 12 Months. Role requirement- essential:-Up to date GMC registration, with a licence to practice. Applicants MUST have previous general practice experience. Strong clinical leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and IT skills are essential Main duties of the jobBrief overview of the role: -Completion of consultations. -Involvement in On Call Gp, on a fair share basis. -Involvement in our Own Extended Access clinics. -Other clinics, to the interest of the post holder. -Participate in regular team meetings, to discuss patient progress and care strategies. Job summary: The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. Clinical responsibilities: The post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion Making professional, autonomous decisions. Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness Developing care plans Providing counselling and health education Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes Collecting data for audit purposes Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary. Undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. Deliver all requirements of the DES and the LES, as seen fit by the business. Need to change to accommodate business needs, in light of new, or unforeseen, developments. Active participation in local initiatives. The post holder will be expected to deliver all requirements of the DES and LES.
