About the role
An exciting opportunity has risen for a Specialty Doctor to join the fantastic Community Drug and Alcohol Team for the Rhondda and Merthyr Localities of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. This would involve working with the team base at Trealaw Resource Centre & Kier Hardie Health Park The post holder will be operationally based in the CDAT. The post holder will be expected to work at other CTMUHB sites and elsewhere in the community, including patients' homes from time to time
The post holder will be expected to oProvide senior clinical input to the assessment and management of patients referred to the service. oWork with other members of the clinical team to review referred patients and advise on management. oProvide day to day clinical support to the CT3 trainee doctor. oParticipate in and contribute to regular team meetings. oLiaise and communicate effectively with members of the team, other teams and services within the Directorate, other hospital departments and with external agencies (including, but not restricted to, General Practitioners, Social Services. And other Services) by whatever means are appropriate. oMaintain appropriate clinical records and undertake necessary correspondence and administration. oSupport the team for the management of controlled drug prescriptions within the service oSupport the team with routine administrative duties. oWrite reports as required.
