Locum Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedics – Foot and Ankle Surgery

Locum Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon - Darent Valley Hospital We are seeking to appoint two Locum Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons to join our dynamic and expanding Orthopaedic Department at Darent Valley Hospital. The successful candidates will work alongside a well-established team of 12 substantive Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons and participate in a 1:8 on-call week commitments and 1:12 on- call weekend commitments. These posts offer the opportunity to develop a specialist interest while providing comprehensive orthopaedic services across both Darent Valley Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital.

This is a new Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon (LOCUM) post to support the increasing workload in the department and sub-specialisation in foot and ankle. The successful candidate must be on the Specialist Registrar with the GMC or be within six months of obtaining CCST. We offer a comprehensive range of treatment both on the elective and the trauma side for our local and expanding population. The successful candidate will form part of a 9-member team of Consultants backed by 2 Associate Specialists, 9 Speciality doctors and 3 Deanery Registrars - appointed on the S.E Thames Regional rotation. There will be a total of 10 Junior Doctors (FY2, SHO and CT1s) to support the Directorate.
