Essential

MB BS, or equivalent MRCP or equivalent
CCT (or within 6 months of date of interview) or equivalent.
Widespread broad-based knowledge of General Cardiology and Electrophysiology. Broad based knowledge of the application of electrophysiology and cardiac rhythm management to a wide range of arrhythmias and cardiac conditions.
Competent and trained In general cardiology and electrophysiology, including catheter ablation, complex device implantation, and cardiac rhythm management
Able to provide evidence of clinical audit and demonstrate understanding of impact and challenges this brings
Ability to demonstrate knowledge and awareness of current and future NHS challenges and strategy.
Ability to support team members in business planning via collaboration and discussion.
Ability to demonstrate personal experience of clinical research and describe and discuss findings and impact.
Experience of research, presentations to learned societies on topics related to cardiology
Ability to apply research outcomes to clinical/surgical problems
Demonstrate number of first name publications in indexed journals, over a variety of subjects relevant to this post.
Excellent presentational and verbal skills.
Ability to motivate and develop medical trainees.
Ability to manage time well to deliver objectives of the CAG
Awareness of best practice through evidence based medicine, and personal drive to enact the change with the team.
Self-motivated with an enquiring, critical approach to work.
Ability to work under pressure Caring attitude to patients.
