Telephone, face to face patient consultation sessions including home visits, making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations. Undertaking on-call duty doctor sessions as distributed fairly between all GPs. Prescribe and review medication and treatment within national and practice protocols, referring patients for specialist care as required. Processing correspondence, pathology results, and medical reports. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols. Support the delivery of anticipatory care plans. Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards. Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of practice workload. Be aware of your duties and responsibilities regarding current legislation and adhere to practice policies and procedures on Safeguarding Adults and Children All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
