About the role
Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a dedicated Specialty Doctor to join our Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (SCAMHS) and Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT). This role provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across hospital and community settings, supporting the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions in children and young people. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to responsive crisis care and ongoing management of patients. The post includes participation in the MHLD first on-call rota, with Consultant support available at all times (on-site during working hours and off-site out of hours). o Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of a comprehensive SCAMHS service across the Health Boardo Undertake timely and effective assessment and treatment of patients requiring urgent and acute mental health careo Provide clinical leadership and support to multidisciplinary team members within the serviceo Work collaboratively with clinical, medical, and managerial colleagues to ensure high-quality patient careo Support and participate in teaching, training, and research activities within the organisationo Engage in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service deliveryo Maintain accurate, high-quality clinical documentation and ensure effective communication across teamso Monitor patient experience and respond proactively to feedback to improve care outcomeso Practice in line with evidence-based guidelines, including NICE and National Service Framework standardso Uphold professional standards in accordance with "The Duties of a Doctor"
