About the role
Applications are invited for an Interventional Radiology Fellow to join the Imaging and Medical Physics Group at University Hospitals Birmingham. This post supports the expanding interventional radiology service based at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital. Accredited radiology training is essential, and the successful candidate will gain subspecialty experience under the supervision of the Interventional Radiology team. The fellow will contribute to general radiology and participate in the Interventional (SpR) on call rota. Applicants must be on, or eligible for, the Specialist Register for Clinical Radiology. UHB is one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in England and provides one of the UK's most advanced radiology services. Facilities include state of the art IR suites and hybrid theatres, with access to major tertiary specialties such as trauma, oncology, hepatobiliary, transplant, vascular and respiratory medicine. The fellow will have opportunities to develop skills in oncology intervention, embolization, vascular procedures, renal access and trauma intervention.
