Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine - 6 month

Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine (6 months) Applications are invited to apply for the post of Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at Bradford Teaching Hospitals. We are seeking a consultant with drive, commitment and enthusiasm who will bring a consistent focus to high performance and quality of care, working collaboratively with colleagues and providing clinical leadership to the wider team. This is a 10PA post in the respiratory service to cover the 6 months.It includes outpatient work, both in general and specialist respiratory services, and inpatient work on a "Consultant of the Week" rota.

This 6-month locum post has been created to support the respiratory service through extended waiting lists recovery due to a significant backlog. The appointee will work alongside the existing team to provide comprehensive service provision. Duties will involve delivery of outpatient clinics and service development. Additionally the appointee will provide cover for the dedicated ward by delivering ward rounds and providing specialist advice to other areas of Bradford Royal Infirmary, and may contribute to the general medical service. The appointee will be expected to participate in the student teaching rota, administrative duties associated with the care of his/her patients, participate in the running of the department in collaboration with consultant colleagues, communicate with local practitioners, supporting nursing and other AHP members of the team.
