Junior Clinical Fellow in the department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology
We are inviting applications to fill our Junior Clinical Fellow vacancy at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This post will commence October 2026 and end in October 2027 and is a fixed term for 1 year. This post will commence October 2026 and end in October 2027 and is a fixed term for 1 year.
Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice at the time of application.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic doctor to join the current Obstetrics and Gynaecology team as a clinical fellow at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The service is delivered through four sites: St James University Hospital (SJUH), Leeds General Infirmary (LGI), Wharfedale General Hospital and Seacroft Hospital. The above post is suitable for doctors wishing to gain clinical experience at a ST1-2 level in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The post offers the successful candidate a wide range of experience in all areas of the specialty. Whilst this post is not recognised for training, the appointee will be supported by a Clinical Supervisor to meet their career and educational goals.
This post includes working on the first on Call rota with a 1:9 frequency and the successful candidate will be expected to participate in on call at both St Jamess University Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary out of hours. Duties will include providing clinical care in Antenatal clinic, Labour ward, Antenatal Day Unit, Maternity Assessment, Gynaecology clinic, Acute Gynaecology and gynaecology theatres amongst other things.
