About the role
University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB) is seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Gynaecologist to join its supportive multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with an interest in benign gynaecology, particularly pelvic pain and endometriosis, to help develop high-quality, patient-centred services and improve outcomes and experiences for women and families. The successful candidate will have opportunities to develop specialist interests and leadership responsibilities while contributing to teaching, training, clinical governance and service improvement. Working collaboratively across the wider service, the postholder will support UHDB's commitment to delivering Exceptional Care Together through compassion, openness and excellence.
Provide high-quality consultant-led care for patients with benign gynaecological conditions, including pelvic pain and endometriosis. Contribute to the assessment, treatment planning and ongoing management of patients across outpatient, inpatient and surgical pathways. Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based and compassionate care Support the development of specialist pathways and continuous improvement in access, outcomes and patient experience. Participate in teaching, training, clinical governance, audit and quality-improvement activity. Contribute to departmental leadership and the wider objectives of the Gynaecology service.
