MBBS or equivalent
FRCR or equivalent
Full GMC registration with a license to practice at date of commencement
GMC Specialist Register for Radiology Specialty or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at time of interview OR if applying for Full GMC Registration and License to Practice simultaneously with a CESR application, supporting documentary evidence must be provided at interview to confirm an application has been submitted and is under consideration by the GMC
Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining a UK CCST in general radiology
6 years of NHS experience...
Evidence of ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and share clinical responsibilities
Subspeciality interest in Uroradiology and Uroradiology intervention
At least one year experience as a resident doctor in Urology
Evidence of ability to report general imaging, Urological imaging including CT Urography, CTKUB and Renal characterisation examinations, MRI of the bladder, kidneys and prostate
Evidence of ability to perform and report Fluoroscopic exams including Cystograms, urethrograms and nephrostograms.
Evidence of competence in nephrostomy insertions, nephrostomy catheter exchanges and antegrade ureteric stenting.
Evidence of competence in performing Ultrasound guided Renal, renal mass and other abdominal biopsies.
Evidence of independent clinical practice
Up to date and relevant clinical knowledge in the specialty and evidence of an understanding of its application
Experienced in making clinical decisions and managing risk.
Experience of audit and its impact on management and patient outcomes
Commitment to continuing professional development and the requirements of clinical governance, reporting errors and learning from these
Experience of and commitment to teaching undergraduates and postgraduates
Evidence and experience of supervising and teaching resident doctors and medical students
Experience of and commitment to clinical audit and/or Quality Improvement Projects (QIP)

Desirable

Additional higher medical / scientific degree relevant to the specialty
Training Qualification
5 years supervised training in an appropriate ST equivalent training programme
Experience as a senior resident doctor in Urology
Attended a management course for consultants
Experience of teaching basic clinical skills to under-graduates
Attended a recognised teaching training course
Evidence of relevant academic and research achievements relevant to the specialty
