About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Consultant post in our Nuclear Medicine department. This is a 12 month fixed term post, for 40 hours per week, and will require on-site presence. You will be a qualified Nuclear Medicine Physician or Radionuclide Radiologist, with experience in reporting a range of Nuclear Medicine procedures.
This is a consultant post to support and develop radionuclide and PET imaging and capacity. The successful candidate will have the opportunity, depending on experience, to contribute to the departmental theranostics program.
We are one of the biggest Nuclear Medicine departments in UK and Europe, providing a range of specialist procedures in PET, radionuclide therapy and general nuclear medicine. Our service is rapidly expanding and we are looking for a motivated individual who can work flexibly and provide leadership and specialist expertise to drive quality improvements, sustainability and innovation.
o To work closely with the senior professional workforce, radiographer and technologist colleagues, medical, physicist and nursing staff to ensure provision of an efficient and responsive Nuclear Medicine service including providing consultant supervision for diagnostic radionuclide imaging in all service areas.o Report general nuclear medicine, bone densitometry and PET/CT, PET/MRI studieso Attend multidisciplinary oncological and non-oncological multidisciplinary meetingso Contribute to the audit and quality improvement projects in the department
