Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinical Fellow 6 Months Fixed term ST5+

Applications are invited for a Fixed Term Clinical Fellow (ST5+) posts in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Southmead Hospital for 6 months. This post is full time. Part time applicants would be considered.

Full Registration with the GMC is essential. The Trust has teaching status and is linked with the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England. Experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent via MRCOG is essential.

This post is not recognised for training and does not have postgraduate deanery approval. However, the job would give opportunities for a successful candidate to further their learning. Candidates must have, or be eligible for, GMC registration that allows them to work in posts that are not recognised for training.

The post will have an out of hours component on the middle grade rota. There are 2 middle grades on call overnight and daytime.

Person specification

Essential

MB BS (or equivalent) Full Registration with the GMC or Limited Registration to cover scope of employment
Evidence of training progression MRCOG part 1
Completed pre-registration year (or equivalent outside the UK).
Experience and ability to work at a registrar (St5+) level.
Not more than 5 years experience of Obs/Gynae in UK
Experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices (or equivalent via postgraduate examinations eg MRCOG part 2).
Evidence of understanding and application of knowledge of specialty.
