You would preferably be on the Specialist Register for Forensic Psychiatry and responsible for managing a medium or low secure ward. The role involves second on-call duties (currently 1 in 17 for full-time consultants) and offers opportunities for extra locum shifts with time back in lieu for on-call work. Requirements include full GMC registration, membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and section 12 approval with Approved Clinician status.
