About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated salaried GP to join our friendly multi-disciplinary Practice Team. This is a temporary position until 31st March 2027 for a salaried GP, 4 sessions per week. There may be the opportunity to work a further 2 sessions on the same temporary basis at a neighbouring Practice. Church Lane Surgery is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for our patients in Brighouse. We are a training Practice for GP Registrars, FY2 doctors, trainee pharmacists and medical students. We provide a full range of enhanced services, including level 3 Diabetic care. Our Practice has an overall CQC rating of good. We are a member of the Lower Valley Primary Care Network and enjoy a close working relationship with the other 4 Practices and PCN / ARRS staff. Due to the employment of an acute visiting service via our PCN, we have a low home visiting commitment. As a salaried GP, you will provide high-quality primary care to patients within our general practice. This will include delivering consultations through a mix of face-to-face, telephone, and online appointments, assessing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, prescribing treatment, and making referrals where appropriate. You will play an active role in preventative care, supporting health promotion, screening, and immunisation programmes. Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records will be an essential part of your day-to-day work. In addition to your clinical sessions, you will review test results, manage repeat prescriptions, and handle clinical correspondence. You will work collaboratively with our wider multidisciplinary team and contribute to safeguarding, quality improvement, and the smooth running of the practice. You will be expected to work in line Practice protocols, within NHS guidance and GMC standards, delivering safe, effective, and patient-focused care.
