Consultant in Paediatric Dermatology (Part-Time- 5 PAs) Great Ormond Street Hospital, London Applications are invited for a part-time (0.5 WTE, 5 PAs) Consultant in Paediatric Dermatology to join the highly specialised Dermatology Unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. The Dermatology service at GOSH is one of the largest and longest-established paediatric dermatology units in the UK, with an international reputation for excellence in clinical care, training, and research. The unit has been running for nearly 30 years and has trained numerous consultants who now practise both nationally and internationally. This post offers the opportunity to work within a world-class multidisciplinary team managing a broad range of complex and rare paediatric skin conditions. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the consultant on-call rota and ambulatory/inpatient dermatology service Participate in the ongoing development of this leading tertiary/quaternary referral service Deliver highly specialised outpatient care, including: Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) clinics General paediatric dermatology clinics Laser dermatology services (including a dedicated laser list) The GOSH Dermatology Unit hosts the largest tertiary/quaternary referral service for complex laser treatments in the UK, alongside a busy and diverse inpatient and outpatient caseload.

1. Provide high-quality care in paediatric dermatology, particularly for patients withepidermolysis bullosa, epidermal differentiation disorders, and those undergoing laser treatments. 2. Contribute to the day-to-day running and management of the dermatologydepartment. 3. Supervise junior doctors clinically. 4. Deliver high-quality teaching to both undergraduates and postgraduates. 5. GMC specialist registration with a Licence to Practice (obtained by designated start date)
MRCP, MRCPCH or equivalent
CCT/CCST in paediatrics or paediatric dermatology (or within 6 months at time of interview) or equivalent training and experience (eligible for Portfolio Pathway - previously known as CESR)
Extensive experience in managing patients with EB and epidermal differentiation disorders
Experience in lasers for children
Experience of teaching students and multi-disciplinary team
Experience of leading in Clinical Audit processes
Published research in peer reviewed journals in relevant area
Awareness of the importance of Clinical Governance through experience of participating in quality or safety improvement projects
High level written and oral communication skills
Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
Ability to work under pressure in a multi-disciplinary environment
Presentation skills
Understanding and proven ability to apply research findings in a clinical/organisational context
Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
Ability to work on own initiative within an ever changing environment.

Desirable

Higher degree - PhD, MD or equivalent
Formal teaching qualification
Leadership qualification
Experience of recruiting patients to clinical research trials
