About the role
This vacancy is for 5 sessions per week. This is a rare opportunity for a GP to join the clinical team based at our Bevan House surgery in central Bradford. Bevan House is a SystmOne training practice with an APMS contract to deliver specialist primary care services. The practice was rated Outstanding in all 5 areas of a CQC inspection in 2016. Our 5400 registered patients are some of the most vulnerable in Bradford refugees and asylum seekers, people with experience of trauma, experience of homelessness, substance addiction, enduring mental health difficulties. In addition to our specialist GP surgery, we provide in-reach services to our local hospitals, outreach to the community, and clinical cover for Bradford Respite Intermediate Care Support Service (BRICSS) - an intermediate care residential facility for homeless patients requiring medical care post-hospital discharge. We are looking for an outstanding GP who shares our vision and values and is motivated to tackle the health inequalities in our city. Our ideal candidate will combine excellent clinical skills with a genuine passion for meeting the needs of our patients.
Provide clinical care to patients, including face-to-face and telephone clinics, workflow (correspondence, results, medication reviews, reports and clinical administration), safeguarding, surgery meetings and Duty Dr work. Show respect and sensitivity towards patients and colleagues, always following the GMC ethical principles in Duties of a Doctor. Work closely with the practice team and partner organisations to deliver clinical care, including attending practice team meetings. Support the practice to achieve quality outcomes and contractual targets. Keep careful medical records and collect data to monitor practice performance. Ensure mandatory and organisationally training is up to date. Ensure continuous professional development appropriate to the role. Engage with NHS annual appraisal and GMC revalidation. Participate in a culture that prioritises quality and safety. Document and report learning events and clinical governance matters. Promote evidence based practice and share good practice with colleagues and peers. Ensure data protection guidelines are followed, confidentiality is respected and patient access to services is promoted. Adhere to Bevan Healthcare Clinical Governance Standards, Policies and Procedures. At all times to behave as a professional clinician and act as an ambassador for Bevan Community Benefit Society.
