We are excited to offer Senior Clinical Fellow posts in Emergency Medicine to join our friendly, dynamic and enthusiastic team at Royal Derby Hospital. These 12-month fixed-term fellowships have been specifically designed for doctors who wish to develop their clinical expertise alongside a personalised portfolio of non-clinical interests. Whether you are a post-CCT doctor, approaching completion of training, or seeking a year of focused professional development, these posts provide an excellent opportunity to enhance your Emergency Medicine career within one of the region's most innovative Emergency Departments.
Each post includes approximately 25% protected non-clinical time, allowing you to pursue areas of interest and build valuable skills that complement clinical practice. Opportunities may include: 1. Completing a Certificate in Medical/Postgraduate Education2. Simulation-based education3. Quality improvement and patient safety projects4. Clinical research and academic development5. Expedition medicine6. Development of specialist Emergency Medicine interests7. Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) Fellowship working alongside LIVES (Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service)We are keen to support innovative proposals and welcome applications from candidates with a clear vision for how they would like to utilise their protected development time. For applicants with an interest in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine, there is an exciting opportunity to undertake a dedicated fellowship in collaboration with LIVES. This unique experience offers exposure to pre-hospital care, emergency response and multidisciplinary working in challenging environments. Candidates applying for the PHEM Fellowship will be required to attend an interview process with LIVES alongside the UHDB selection process.
