About the role
The primary focus for this role is to help deliver safe and effective patient care to registered patients across DMC Primary care. You will be responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the [GMS/PMS] contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
The delivery of effective medical care to the entitled population. Provision of services in line with the GMS contract. Generic prescribing in accordance with local and national guidance. Effective management of long-term conditions using CESEL guidelines. Timely processing of administration, including referrals, repeat prescriptions and related tasks. On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor responsibilities. Maintain accurate clinical records in line with best practice, policy and guidance. Work collaboratively, sharing an equal proportion of the practice workload. Adhere to clinical guidelines and participate in audit processes. Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice. Accept delegated responsibility for specific areas, including QOF. Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings. Support the development and maintenance of the practice, including clinical governance, training, financial management and HR. Ensure compliance with appraisal and revalidation. Commit to ongoing professional development and promote learning across the practice team. Support the training of medical students. Assist partners in achieving strategic objectives, making recommendations to improve income and reduce costs. Adhere to practice protocols and policies. Promote collaborative working and a culture of continuous improvement. Participate in practice audits, local initiatives to enhance service delivery.
