Teaching is also available for postgraduate examinations, e.g. MRCPCH, DCH. The postgraduate medical centre has a well-stocked library, a computer terminal for Medline searches and CD databases. The successful applicant is expected to play a full part in the active department training programme for other doctors and assist in the education of clinical students from Oxford and other medical schools.
The successful applicant will begin work at a level commensurate with previous experience, likely to be at ST3-7 (registrar) level. The post holder must be registered with the GMC and hold a licence to practice. The Consultant body has a breadth of experience including sub-specialty interests. This is not a HEE recognised post, and you will not receive a National Training Number or a CCT.
