About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate interested in a substantive consultant radiologist post to join our team at Barking Havering, and Redbridge University Hospital Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic consultant radiologist with interest in Neuro, Head and Neck imaging to join our well established, dedicated and supportive radiology team to serve a population of 750,000. The post is designed to share the responsibility for the provision of diagnostic neuroradiology, head and neck services including head and neck FNA and biopsies and provision of a range of MDT and on-call services. The post holder will be primarily located at Queen's/ King George Hospital, Romford, but may require working at Barking CDC at Barking and St. George's CDC at Hornchurch. The post holder is expected to: Share an office space, secretarial support with another colleague with access to a PACS reporting station. Provide diagnostic neuroradiology, head and neck services across trust sites. Report cross-sectional images performed on the MRI and CT scanners at the CDC centres, King George's and Queen's Hospital. Support head and neck FNA and biopsies. Contribute to the general duty roster and hot reporting sessions. Contribute to the specialist MDTs with other colleagues in rotation. Participate regularly in the mandatory department meetings. Share an on-call commitment equally with existing diagnostic neuroradiology consultants.

To ensure prompt attendance at agreed direct clinical care programmed activities. To ensure mandatory training is up to date as per the trust policy.

Fellowship Royal College of Radiologists
Completion of Training (CCT)/ CCT date is within six months of interview
Fellowship in neuroradiology, head and neck imaging or equivalent relevant experience.
