The General Practitioner Clinical Lead is a key position responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients while ensuring the operational effectiveness of the practice. This role requires collaboration with the clinical leads and local practice team to fulfill the surgeries' operational plan. The GP Clinical Lead is expected to maintain quality assurance within the practice by engaging in clinical governance activities and participating in initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes. The role involves clinical responsibilities such as patient consultations (in person and via video), telephone triage, clinical administration, and safeguarding, among others. The ideal candidate will be an experienced doctor with GP accreditation, holding a current registration with the GMC and NHS performers list. A solid understanding of the Quality and Outcomes Framework and relevant coding systems is crucial. Proficiency in clinical systems such as SystmOne or EMISweb is desirable.
