Specialty Doctor Grade in Community Paediatrics

The Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a Specialty Doctor Grade Community Paediatrician. The post holder will be based in the Erewash or Amber Valley area of Derbyshire. As part of the community paediatric team they will provide community child health services in clinics (and other venues when appropriate). This work will include the following: Seeing children and young people referred for assessment of child development, neurodevelopmental conditions and physical disability Providing paediatric links with school nurses to local schools, nurseries and social services' children's establishments within the locality. Liaising with other disciplines and agencies on individual case management and the preparation of reports The post holder will join a friendly and supportive team of nine Consultants, seven Specialty Doctor Grade/Associate Specialist doctors and two trainees in community paediatrics. We continue to look at ways to evolve our service to improve joined up care and develop new interdisciplinary ways of working, and are looking for enthusiastic and motivated candidates to join us in this.
