About the role
A whole-time/part-time post as consultant in Cardiology is available now based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford University Hospital.
The appointment is on a whole-time/part-time basis but applications are welcome from those who wish to job share.
Any person who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis, in consultation with consultant colleagues. Suitably qualified job-share candidates will receive serious consideration.
The postholder’s duties will be primarily at John Radcliffe Hospital with coronary lab activity at Milton Keynes University Hospital but it is a condition of the appointment that the postholder will be willing to work in any of the Trust’s locations.

OUHFT is a large tertiary cardiac centre serving a population of 2.5 million that undertakes approximately 1300 PCI procedures including 350 PPCIs and approximately 500 TAVIs per annum.
The successful applicant will support the ongoing development of the established invasive coronary service, and the growth of a coronary network to consolidate regional services. They will help to provide a non-emergency weekend coronary invasive service to support rollout of a pathway for acute admissions.
