Senior Clinical Fellow in Trauma & Limb Reconstruction in the department of Trauma & Orthopaedics
Candidates are invited to apply for a senior clinical fellowship in Trauma and Limb Reconstruction at Leeds General Infirmary. The post is designed for a more experienced doctor, pursuing a career in orthopaedic surgery, who has an interest in complex trauma and limb reconstruction, including the use of fine wire circular fixators.
The post is to start Monday 5 October 2026 until Friday 30 July 2027.
The post involves working on the Leeds General Infirmary site with the lower limb reconstruction surgeons Mr Simon Britten, Mr Paul Harwood, Mr Patrick Foster and Mr Martin Taylor.
The post holder will receive advanced clinical and surgical training in lower limb reconstruction using the Ilizarov method. In addition, there will be exposure to other techniques including intramedullary nailing and locked plating, and the Taylor Spatial Frame /other hexapod frames.
The unit has an active academic and teaching programme to which the successful applicant would be expected to contribute.
