We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate General Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive practice team. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing a broad range of general medical services to our diverse patient population. The successful GP will provide high-quality, patient-centred clinical care to our registered population of approximately 5,200 patients. The role will include face-to-face and telephone consultations, assessment and management of acute and chronic conditions, and appropriate referral to secondary care and other services. Key duties Conduct safe and effective clinical consultations, assessing patients' medical needs and managing clinical risk appropriately. Diagnose, treat and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Provide appropriate clinical advice, treatment, health promotion and preventative care. Manage patients with long-term conditions and support ongoing monitoring and review. Prescribe safely and appropriately in accordance with current guidelines and practice policies. Make appropriate referrals and liaise effectively with secondary care, community services and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate, comprehensive and contemporaneous clinical records. Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, healthcare professionals, administrative staff and the wider multidisciplinary team. Participate in clinical meetings, significant event reviews, audit and quality improvement activities. Support the practice in meeting its safeguarding responsibilities and maintaining high standards of patient safety and professional practice.
