CONSULTANT IN OLDER ADULTS MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES POPLARS WARD (POPLARS WARD, Southmoor Road, Hemsworth, Pontefract, WF9 4LX) Permanent, full time, 10 Programmed Activities per week plus on-call (part time may be considered) South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Teaching Trust are recruiting for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join Poplars ward based at Pontefract. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the Older Adults Mental Services in Wakefield.

The starting salary for this post is aligned with point 04 of the consultant pay scale (£123,672 -£150,569 ), in line with Trust policy for newly appointed consultants. Excellent knowledge in specialty.

MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.

Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Older People /Dual training OR within six months of gaining CCT.
Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within three months of appointment.
Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within three months of appointment.
Holds and will use valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.

Desirable

Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to the post within NHS or comparable service.

Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
