Consultant Gynaecologist

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Consultant Gynaecologist to join our Community Gynaecology Service. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver consultant-led care in a modern community setting, providing high-quality assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and outpatient procedures for women with moderate to complex benign gynaecological conditions. Working at the forefront of NHS community transformation, you will help reduce hospital waiting times, improve patient access to care closer to home, and contribute to innovative service delivery models

Deliver consultant-led assessment, diagnosis and management of patients within Community Gynaecology Service. Manage complex benign gynaecological conditions including abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, adenomyosis, menopause, pelvic pain, PCOS and prolapse. Perform outpatient procedures including hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy and selected see-and-treat interventions. Provide expert clinical decision-making for patients escalated from Tier 2 services. Review and interpret diagnostic investigations, imaging and pathology results. Work collaboratively with primary care and secondary care teams to ensure seamless patient pathways. Identify and appropriately refer patients requiring cancer, surgical, fertility, endometriosis or specialist hospital services. Support NHS elective recovery by providing high-quality consultant-led care closer to home. Participate in clinical governance, audit, service development and quality improvement activities. Provide clinical leadership, education and support to multidisciplinary colleagues.
