GP Practice Nurse Manager

Parkside Family Practice are looking to recruit a dynamic experienced Nurse Manager to take a leadership role within our busy GP surgery. You will be responsible for delivering and managing safe, effective and evidence based nursing care across our patient population of just over 16,500 patients. We are a training practice and aim for the highest standards of care for our community of patients.

The role requires you to have expert clinical knowledge to guide and support staff in the team to provide the best care promoting and safeguarding the wellbeing of all service users, employees and visitors. The main duties are but not limited to wound care both complex and less so, child and adult immunisations, blood tests, smear taking, long term disease management such as Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Heart Disease, Hypertension, urine samples and awareness of all other treatment room skills.

We are a friendly patient focused practice with over 50 members of staff based over two sites consisting of 3 Practice Partners, 3 Practice Managers, salaried GP's, a nursing team, Paramedic, Pharmacy as well as Reception and Administration teams all working to ensure our patients receive consistent ongoing care. All staff work across both our sites to ensure things are fair for all. Wellbeing is also important to us and is promoted through having regular staff gatherings in the new year and recently a summer social boat party.
