About the role
We are delighted that you are interested in joining our team. Our friendly and cohesive consultant group is committed to high-quality care and supporting specialist interests. The Urology team at Ashford & St Peter's (ASPH) consists of 10 WTE consultants. A key component of the role will be supporting the Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology (CEMIG). The successful applicant will require experience in pelvic surgery, including robotic and open approaches, and will work closely with the multidisciplinary endometriosis team to deliver high-quality surgical care. They will also contribute to the general urology service, focusing on bladder outlet obstruction, functional urology and benign prostatic enlargement (BPE). Competence in contemporary BPE surgery is essential, including ThuLEP/HoLEP, GreenLight PVP and minimally invasive surgical therapies (MIST). The post holder will help develop LUTS and BOO pathways, supporting initiatives to increase day-case BOO surgery and expand outpatient MIST procedures. Other commitments include inpatient ward rounds, weekly MDTs, prostate imaging meetings and general/LUTS clinics.
