Salaried GP

We are looking for either part or full time Salaried GPs to join our team in Workington. We are seeking professional and motivated GPs who are committed to delivering high quality, patient centred care. We are able to offer:

Our wider multidisciplinary team includes a highly skilled ANP team, Frail Elderly Assessment Team, Home Visiting Service, Total Triage Model, MSK Physiotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners, Medicines Hub and Personalised Care Team, providing a wealth of expertise and support to our clinicians and patients.

In this role, you will undertake a varied range of clinical duties, including face-to-face and telephone consultations, Duty Doctor and Triage GP sessions, and home visits. You will also undertake clinical administration, including reviewing and actioning pathology results, issuing fit notes and managing clinical documents. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referral or referred from other health care workers within the organisation Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health Providing counselling and health education Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards Compiling and issuing computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible) Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
