Clinical Fellow - Gastroenterology

We are looking for, acandidate with F1, F2 +/- F3 experience. Ideally with IMT (Internal Medicine Training) experience and looking to apply for a Speciality Training Number in Gastroenterology. A candidate that has completed all parts of their MRCP andhas an up to date Advanced Life Support Certificate. A candidate that is proactive and possesses good leadership skills enabling them to oversee, assist and support the more junior resident doctors on the Gastroenterology ward. A candidate that has the ability and confidence to lead a board round and ward round with senior consultant cover and support. Ideally the candidate would have had prior experience of this. A candidate that has the knowledge base and confidence to manage acute medical emergencies on the ward. What can we offer? This post offers extensive clinical experience in Gastroenterology. There are dedicated IBD and Hepatology clinics, and also potential for learning endoscopy. There are weekly Gastroenterology teaching sessions. There are specialist Multidisciplinary meetings that can be attended for their personal learning and education. This post will provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of Gastroenterology and Hepatology including general inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology care. The post is initially for a one-year period with the option of extending further if mutually agreeable.
