About the role
Applications are invited for the above post to join our Maxillofacial team. The successful candidate will join the existing team of 8 Consultants (4 head and neck consultant). University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is one of the largest and busiest teaching hospitals in England, being made up of three hospitals after joining together in 2000; The General, The Glenfield and the Royal Infirmary. Job overview: Participate in microvascular on-call rotas at LRI Oncology and reconstruction Supervise and train junior medical staff/dental staff Clinical sessions as laid out in the job plan Teaching, research, audit and administration Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of patients. To share with colleagues responsibility for the day-to-day management of patients. To promote new ways of working and co-ordinating care for patients in the community and to ensure that services are based on effective and integrated partnerships across the health community. Take part in multidisciplinary case conferences. To be involved in appraising and assessing juniors. To proactively develop the service. To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.
