About the role
The Wellcome Practice is looking for 2 enthusiastic Receptionists with excellent interpersonal, customer service and organisational skills to join our reception team. Working Pattern -31.5 hours per week split between 2 receptionists Between: Monday Friday 8am 1:15pm & 1:15pm - 6:30pm
Applicants will need to work both on a busy reception desk dealing with patients over the telephone and face to face, booking and cancelling appointments, guiding patients to use the online consultation tool and also work at the back of reception performing administration tasks, dealing with prescription requests and assisting the triaging doctor with online consultations.
Previous reception and/or customer service skills and knowledge of Emis Web are desirable, but full training will be given.
The Wellcome Practice is a total triage practice and has a patient list size of approx. 10,900 patients. We are a busy GP Practice, with a fun and energetic team.

Essential
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent GCSE Mathematics and English (C or above)
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Strong IT skills, a clear polite telephone manner, Competent in the use of Office and Outlook Effective time management (planning and organising) Ability to work as a team member and autonomously Good interpersonal skills Problem solving and analytical skills Ability to follow policy and procedure Polite and confident Flexible and cooperative Motivated Forward thinker High levels of integrity and loyalty Sensitive and empathetic in distressing situations Ability to work under pressure
