The successful candidates will join an established and professional multi- disciplinary Ophthalmic team.

Whipps Cross Hospital is in the process of substantial redevelopment, which makes this an exciting time to join and help to influence the delivery of future Ophthalmic care. Person specification

Essential

MRCOphth or equivalent
Full GMC Registration with license to practice
Specialist Training: Good knowledge anterior segment, acute and general ophthalmology
Teaching Skills: Record of teaching at under and post graduate levels Evidence of multi-disciplinary teaching
Clinical Governance: Record of completed audit projects An understanding of clinical governance and the application to ophthalmology
IT Skills Competent in Electronic patient records systems Competent in IT software
Evidence of participation in CME/CPD in the last 12 months
Ability to work as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desirable

Research experience
Course/training in communication skills
Ability to speak another language/s
Participate in on call rota
