General Practitioner - Queensferry Medical Practice

We are looking to appoint a Salaried GP for 6 sessions per week to join our friendly, forward-thinking and supportive practice team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred general medical services to our practice population, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a GP who is approachable, professional and committed to providing excellent patient care, while also contributing positively to the continued development of the practice. The role will include a mixture of face-to-face and telephone consultations, clinical administration and prescription management, with home visits where appropriate. The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously while also being a supportive and collaborative member of the wider practice team.

Undertake face-to-face and telephone consultations, assessing, diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Deal with patient queries and clinical requests in a timely and appropriate manner.

Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.

Contribute to the management of patients with long-term conditions and develop appropriate care plans in partnership with patients.

Check and sign electronic repeat prescriptions and deal with prescription queries in a timely manner.
