We are looking for an innovative and proactive Public Health Consultant to provide expert advice on public health standards and practice as well as lead on the development and implementation of significant public health programmes, in partnership with a range of agencies in the statutory, non-statutory, voluntary and private sector.
You will provide leadership for the intelligence function of the division which is delivered through our Senior Intelligence manager and her team. You will lead our Public Mental Health Team and associated programmes, including suicide prevention. You will lead and develop our research portfolio, working with universities and other academic bodies to ensure research undertaken in the city is to the benefit of local communities. You will also be responsible for the performance management, quality assurance and clinical governance of public health commissioned services which is led by our group manager and his team of commissioning officers. Your team will also include the business management functions for the division (finance, risk management, business continuity) this is delivered by the business manager and the admin team. You will work alongside other consultants and the Director of Public Health.
