About the role
Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist - Corneal Applications are invited for the Fixed Term Locum post ofConsultant Ophthalmologist in Cornea. This is Locum post which will enhance the current establishment of NHS and academic staff of the Department of Ophthalmology, Alliance Hospitals and community practices. The successful appointee will be expected to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and clinical audit. They will be required to undertake management duties and work in a multidisciplinary team. Opportunity for permanent position post 12 month fixed term pending consultant application and interviews. The appointee will have a principle interest in Cornea, Corneal Graft operating and they will be expected to contribute to the Corneal service on the Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital site (including the East Midlands Planned Care Centre EMPCC) and associated community hospitals or GP practices. Participation on the on call rota and in the eye casualty department is essential.
