Consultant Cellular Pathologist - Cardiothoracic & Renal

Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and forward thinking Cellular Pathologist to join our existing team of consultants with the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and skills in the field of Cardiothoracic and Renal Pathology.

Applicants are expected to have a strong background in Cellular Pathology and be able to work as part of a multiple sub-specialised team.

Primary reporting and MDT provision is undertaken using Digital Pathology using the Indica Halo AP system, which is UKAS accredited. Full training and support transition to digital reporting will be provided.

You will be supported by a well-established experienced specialist reporting team. The appointee, in collaboration with the other Consultants will be expected to fulfil the duties detailed in Job description

Main duties

To actively participate in both departmental and trust matters concerning Cellular Pathology.

Share appropriate clinical responsibility for Cellular Pathology along with the consultant team.

To actively participate in both Departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit

Participate in MDT meetings
